We are proud to present to you an innovation created by the LS Design agency and manufactured by Thirard: the Kadoor door opener. This system was designed to allow accessibility to all and in complete safety thanks to an opening with the foot. We explain the smallest details of this novelty proposed by Thirard.

Kadoor, an ingenious system for better accessibility

Kadoor was designed to make opening doors accessible to everyone. In addition to a conventional handle, the opening at the foot is made possible by a handle installed at the bottom of the door. High handles and low crutches are connected by a cable (or a thin metal rod) placed along the sash.
By pressing down on the lower crutch – the pedal – with one foot, the upper handle is activated. The system of cables and Kadoor rods causes the rotation of the square and the withdrawal of the bolt ½ turn. The lock is open, the door is released. It can therefore be opened and then closed by pulling or pushing it with your foot. Rubbers placed on the low crutches further facilitate movements exerted on the door with the foot.
Kadoor is a discreet device that is very easy to install. In just a few minutes, any interior door becomes more accessible.
